Doubt, Sin & Salt, Mark 9 & 10, Devo-vid, Days 9 & 10

The Gospel of Mark Chapters 9-10

OK!!!.. Intenseness!!!... Are you really trusting Jesus? Or are you doubting him?... See guys, we need to trust that He is who He says he is, and that He will do what He says that he will do....

Then there is the sin factor. Sin separates us from God. Being separated from God is not fun.... So heres the question. Have you cut sin out of your heart... or are you still messing around with things that you shouldn't be messing around with?... Ground Zero, it's time to cut the junk, and get serious about our walks with Jesus. Let's be beautiful in His sight!

And as for being the salt... being the flavor... Like Mike told us... We are the resistance... Now go and serve King Jesus...

Much Love,

  1. Mark chapter 10. Awesome!. Today we see that Jesus contiues to heal people, but today we also see he gives us an important lesson. The rich man and Jesus, The rich man wanted eternal life, but he did not want to give up his postion and possesions to get it. Jesus told him," sell all that you have and give to the poor." instead of complying the man walks away in shame. Jesus is warning us to not let things get in the way of walking with him because all too often that can happen, with M16 winding down we ust be careful to continue with our Lord and savior through out our lives.

He will be with us to the the end.

  2. ow that is realy good mike we all need to sell all of our things and turn to god and follow him completly. well not every thing but the things that make us lose sight of GOD. we dont need to be looking any were else, GOD is almighty alknowing, not game systems of ipods or any thing that keeps your eyes off GOD we need to ether get rid of or not use as much so we can do what GOD was called us to do. we need to come to GOD like children they dont have much.food water and some toys but they got their mom and dad to be with to teach them every thing.well thatis what think.

we need to be like kids to GOD trust HIM every day.

  3. The story of the father and demon possesed son reminded me of how many times we doubt God. Here we see the father telling Jesus Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.. Jesus says "What do you mean if I can?... Anything is possible if a person believes. Thank God for faith... Believing in something you cannot see.

  4. Hello everyone, Mike here. Mark ch 11 has a great lesson for us in it's pages today. #1
Jesus in the temple courts, He threw out the money changers and dove sellers from the temple! I believe the lesson he is trying to drive home to us is that we sometimes let our hearts become like the temple and fill it with all kinds of useless things.
But God is there to remind us, " Hey, it is too cluttered in here! Clean it out!" Thankfully he does it in a loving and sincere mannner. But we have our part to do as well, We have to watch what we allow ourselves to watch, listen to, or read to help God keep our hearts pure.

Thank God he done that with me.

Thank him for getting so many people stirred up for this M16 event! on all the days I dont see any less than 3 posts!
    That is a great blessing!

May we continue to serve our creator king!

  5. Mike again, The lessons of Mark 12 are amazing,
#1 Jesus tells the religious leader before him to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength. This serves as a reminder of who should really be #1 in our lives.
#2 Jesus tells the same guy to love thy neighbor as thyself, we can have a lot of trouble with that sometimes, I know I do, But God shows us how to love.
#3 Jesus sees the religious leaders giving great sums of money to the temple, with the intention of giving glory to themselves. Then a widow with two mites ( these mite were worth less than a penny ) gives it all to the temple with the intention of serving God with anything she has. Do the math and tell me which of the two God was pleased with.

May we take these lessons to heart and never forget them our journey back home to Our father in heaven.

P.S. If anyone has a chance check out a song called What faith can do by Kutless.
( It is on Youtube ) This song is the most powerful and moving description of how God is with us no matter what.
Check it out, if you are going through something you that seems tough or unbeatable,
Listen to this song, God will show you just how close he is.

  6. Hello everyone, Mike here, The lessons that we learn from chapter 13 of Mark is very intense. Jesus is warning us of false Christs. In the last days ( which we are in )
There will be much deception, there are going to be people who are going to say they are God. DO NOT believe these people. He also tells us what we are going to face Persecution in the both the church and the world. That is why He tells us to get close to him now, so that we will be ready when these things happen. I am not trying to scare anyone but I am merely stating what is going to happen, But we are not going to face it alone, Our Lord is going to be with us through it all, there is no reason to be afraid, If God is for us, then who can be against us? NOBODY.

Let us take these lessons and warnings to heart as the times draw closer for our Lord's turn.

" Heaven and Earth shall pass way, But My words shall never pass away."
    - Jesus
